SBTAN nurtures a supportive, affirming, and loving community for gender-expansive people, their families, and allies. Through education, advocacy, and the creation of safe spaces in the Santa Barbara area, we celebrate and protect transgender rights, dignity, and well-being.
Pacific Pride Foundation
Pacific Pride Foundation’s advocacy and education efforts meet the ongoing and emerging needs of a diverse population in order to create a thriving and visible LGBTQ+ community and to prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS.
PFLAG
We are Santa Barbara area parents, family, friends, and members of the LGBTQ+ community who celebrate diversity and envision a society that includes and embraces everyone. Leading with love, we provide peer-to-peer support, education, resources, and advocacy for ourselves and our loved ones. We welcome your participation.
Climb Out
Climb Out is a queer-run community nonprofit in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. Our mission is to create a more inclusive and welcoming environment for queer, trans, and other self-identified LGBTQIA2S+ voices in the climbing and outdoor communities. Our group is made up of lesbians, NB/trans and bisexual women of all ages and relationship status. We come together to build new friendships, strengthen existing connections, and simply enjoy each other’s company. A side note to our gatherings is the option to swap lesbian novels, where members can introduce each other to new reads and share recommendations.

Founded with the intention of nurturing inclusive, local community rooted in acceptance and respect for the kinky, non-monogamous, and queer.
Queer Hangs
We are a trans-founded social group of LGBTQIA+ members, centered around mostly non-alcohol events outside bars, w/occasional HH’s & plenty of fun! We value inclusivity, non- hierarchical organizing & creating safe spaces to meet queer friends.

SB Gay Men's Chorus
The chorus is proud of its inclusive nature, welcoming any individual who can sing in the Tenor, Baritone, or Bass voice parts, without requiring auditions. This non-auditioned ensemble is dedicated to creating a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to come together, celebrate diversity, and share their love of music. Santa Barbara Queers in STEM is a local, queer-run nonprofit enabling LGBTQ++ people in science, tech, engineering and mathematics to network professionally. It’s also a refuge where technical folks in heavily cishet-dominant fields can be social and nerd out. If you’re in STEM and you can count your queer coworkers on one hand, come join us!
